Let's get ready for College!

Right now I am working with high school students, getting them ready for AP exams, helping with their AP Lit classes, running diligently with them through countless SAT prep-exercises.  Looking over countless revisions to their college essays which we outlined together, and brainstormed.

You have to work on it too!  In fact, you gotta do the work.  But help and accurate guidance is good.  I can help.  Sure, we can all learn the tips and tricks, and how to eliminate bad choices on a test, or learn what the test is wanting us to do.  But what about the moments where all the test prep places lack?  I take it a step further.  Sure, we need to learn the test.  And how to answer well.  But we also need to know what to do when we are faced with not knowing what to do.  There are ways.  Have you considered the tally approach?  Or the dissection technique?  Many students make mistakes on their tests.  Do you know what I find in these mistakes?  What is the most common sort of mistake a student makes?   I tell you, it's focus.  Most answers that are wrong on their SAT tests resulted not from a knowledge challenge, but from a focus challenge.  They made silly mistakes!  Students will admit.  So, another technique is to break your focus before your focus breaks you.  Let's discuss this together.  It's cool.  I know where in time and weight, your focus will break.  You are all different.  Let's discuss this together.

Let me help with your English work.  Whatever it is, we should have the top scores and top understandings.  We should be the strongest.  Californian strong!  Education for the win!

Let's do this.
